I don’t know much, but I know it’s a philosophy I want to pursue. I know a little bit about it, but I don’t know where to start. I am learning a lot about it, but I feel lost half the time. I am very knowledgeable in it, but still need some guidance to do it right.2. 2. How knowledgeable are you about Montessori’s Sensitive Periods? I don’t know what you are talking about. I have heard of them, but I don’t know how to use them to do Montessori right. I have knowledge of them, but I am not sure how to apply them correctly for each child. They are what I use as a compass, but need some pointers to make it easier for me.3. 3. Do you know the steps to doing a Montessori lesson presentation with a child? No. I have no idea how to do that. I know there is a specific way, but I don’t know how. I know the main steps, but I am not sure about presenting all of the lessons. I know how to present the lessons, but I would like to have refreshers to stay updated.4. 4. Do you know what the 3-Period Lesson is? No. I have no idea what that is. I know it is a specific Montessori lesson, but I don’t know how. I know the main steps, but I am not sure about doing it right for all children and their specific needs. I know Montessori uses specific wooden materials, but that’s about it. I’m aware of the Montessori materials, but I don’t know what they are used for and why. I know how to use a few Montessori materials, but I wish I knew more about how use more. - Montessori materials are great and I own some, but I want to stay updated on DIY (do-it-yourself) and printables.6. 6. Do you know how to set up and organize your Montessori environment? I know that I need an area for Montessori, but I don’t have enough room. Having a Montessori environment is important, but I have no idea how to set it up. I have set up a couple of shelves, but I don’t know what works to put in them. I have a Montessori environment set up, but I still feel something is off and need fresh eyes and advice.7. 7. When it comes to becoming a centered, organized Montessori Guide, what is your biggest challenge? I want to be centered and organized, but I’m not. I don’t know where to start. I want to be centered and organized, but what I am trying isn’t working. I want to be centered and organized, but I need a lot more guidance to get there successfully. I'm open to it, but I definitely need to unlearn the teacher-centered approach. I’ve heard that there is a specific way, but I don’t know what the differences are. When it comes to nurturing happy, normalized children in the Montessori environment, what is your biggest challenge? What are normalized children? I haven’t started yet. I know that it’s important to start with those works, but I don’t know why. I have been doing some, but I don’t know how to do most of them. I do them successfully, but I still need to find out how to get creative to keep children engaged.11. 11. How many areas of study (categories) in Montessori Practical life are there? 3 4 5 612. 12. Do you know the basics of the Montessori Sensorial subject? I know that it is an exclusive Montessori subject, but that’s about it. I am aware that it is very important, but I don’t know why. I have set some up, but I don’t know how to teach most Sensorial lessons. I set them up regularly, but I need to learn more or stay updated on this subject.13. 13. How many areas of study (categories) in Montessori Sensorial are there? 3 5 7 914. 14. What is the most important thing about Montessori Math? I have no idea. Doing Montessori Math lessons daily Using only original Montessori Math materials Moving the child strategically from concrete to abstract15. 15. What is the most important thing about Montessori Language Arts? Honestly, I don’t know. Doing Montessori Language Arts lessons in a very specific order. Using only original Montessori Language Arts materials. Teaching writing first and teaching reading second.16. 16. What are some important elements to include in Montessori Science? Putting materials out for children and let them discover lessons on their own. Doing it daily and using original Montessori materials. Doing only Science experiments and doing them in a very specific order. Covering specific branches of Science (ages 3-6) and using printed, DIY and original materials.17. 17. What two main subjects are officially included in Montessori Culture? Maps and Weather Maps and Foreign Languages Geography and Laws History and Geography18. 18. When it comes to creating smooth, successful Montessori days, what is your biggest challenge? I just don’t even know where to start on this journey. I am not sure what smooth, successful Montessori days entail, so I am not sure what to implement. I definitely want them, but I don’t know how to created them.
