Easy Vegan Chocolate Frosting

You have got to try this amazingly easy chocolate frosting recipe! Trust me, you will go, "Is this it? It was so quick and easy!" Yup. You will be amazed with the flavor and the ease. I have used it for several of my recipes and it never disappoints. This creamy frosting hits the spot without hitting your waistline, if you know what I mean!



  • 1 cup coconut sugar or Stevia
  • 6 tbsp cornstarch
  • 4 tbsp organic raw cacao
  • 1/2 tsp Himalayan pink salt
  • optional: a dash of cinnamon or vanilla


  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla


  • Mix all dry ingredients in a saucepan.
  • Slowly, use a whisk to mix as you add the water over medium heat.
  • Let it thicken and start to boil.
  • Boil for 1-2 minutes as you whisk all the way to the bottom, so the bottom doesn't burn into the saucepan.
  • Don't boil for long, or it will become too thick.
  • Remove from heat and stir in oil and vanilla.
  • Cool completely and spread or use piping to put on dessert of choice.
