Montessori at Home Comprehensive Planners Bundle ~ 70 Pages
$45.00$24.99 Add to cart-> Do you have a schedule planned?
Aside from our baby and toddler exclusive Montessori schedule, we did begin adding other homeschooling methods for several reasons.
So, we did schedule Montessori in our school days. It took an hour or so of our day, sometimes longer.
It all depended on two things: the number of activities we were doing that day and the kids’ amount of interest.
Knowing that our Montessori time was limited, I did schedule our activities. Below is our Montessori at Home Planner.
It is a resource that I created, based on what I wish I had and also based on concerns many of you write me about.
I know you want to be organized and do the best you can, so I think that you will find this planner very helpful.
-> Do you know what subjects to teach?
Montessori love you so much thank you for subjects that you were at school, several more.
For example, Montessori has a general culture subject. It covers history, geography and other social studies subjects.
Also, Montessori includes, besides math, language arts, Science and others, the subjects called practical life and sensorial.
These two subjects are very particular to the Montessori method.
Some parents decide to only use the Montessori method for a practical life and sensorial. Then, they do the other subjects using a different curriculum.
And some juice to do it using the Montessori method. Using the Montessori method, requires a lot of hands on materials; a turn off that parents have, as well as where to keep the materials.
They also mentioned how expensive they can be.
On the positive side, you only need one of each thing and you can learn how to rotate them, so you only keep several out at a time.
Here are some resources that you might find helpful and that don’t take a lot of room (to see the entire list, click HERE):

-> Are you planning on teaching all the subjects every day?
This is completely up to you and your children. If they show an interest, then definitely go for it every day.
If not, you can either focus on a few subjects each day and rotate them as you go.
For younger children (ages 0-3 or so), you will want to focus more on practical life and sensorial over the academic subjects.
-> How long is your homeschool day?
This also depends on you and your children’s attention span. When we homeschool, my children or our day.
And every day, one out of the floor ours is dedicated to Montessori learning.
Sometimes, I have a couple of activities planned for them for this time and other times I let him pick up the work that they want to do and let them focus on whatever day that day.
It keeps things interesting for them and it also helps me to see which subjects, which activities and which skills catch their attention the most.
