Here is a simple and fun craft that your child can make after reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle.
Visit our caterpillar and butterfly hub HERE!
We have dozens and dozens of awesome printables, activities and ideas that your kids will love!
We need:
- 1 piece of white cardstock or construction paper per child
- 1 red pom-pom
- 6-8 green pom-poms
- tacky glue
- 1 black permanent marker
- Optional: The Very Hungry Caterpillar book
I helped put a line of tacky glue on the middle of the cardstock.
Sister started with the red pom-pom (head) and the green pom-poms followed.
She was working on order and concentration.
She was gentle and intentional about gluing the pom-poms on the straight line.
She enjoyed making this craft. While the pom-poms dried, we read the storybook together.
Then we drew eyes and legs with the permanent marker.
It was cute and so much fun.
We hope that this post has inspired you to try this simple activity with your children.
They will love it!
