Family Traditions at the Table

Why is this recipe unique while keeping it simmered in tradition? There are several reasons. The first one is that I created lasagna blossoms that are beautiful, easy to make and perfect for our little ones at home because it is the perfect individual portion for them! Not only are they fascinated by how pretty these saucy blossoms look, but they cannot wait to dig in and enjoy this fantastic dish. It is definitely now a family tradition!

Let me tell you why I have chosen to use a jarred kind of tomato sauce over homemade. Yes, you know me. You know I love to make things from scratch and that I do that often. But with some things, you pick your battles and after finding Ragú Homestyle Thick and Hearty Sauces, I don’t want to go back!

I love this new Ragú sauce line because it has a made-from-scratch taste, but it is a time-saver for busy families. With five delicious flavors, you can take your pick for the one that your family likes the most. They have Traditional Sauce, Meat Sauce, Four Cheese Sauce, Roasted Garlic Sauce and Mushroom Sauce.

You simply can’t go wrong! I love it that these saves are thicker and heartier, so they are more filling and they hug the Italian dish really well. It isn’t runny at all. Thanks to a bold combination of vine-ripened tomatoes, onions and fragrant herbs, you won’t need to doctor these delicious sauces – just heat and serve straight from the jar.

Life just got simpler without compromising budget, flavor or lifestyle. They contain no artificial colors, no artificial flavors and no high-fructose corn syrup. Try them with these fantastic recipes!

Preparation

For this easy-to-make lasagna recipe, simply pre-eat over at 350 degrees, cook the lasagna noodles on the stovetop and brown the ground beef (season to taste) in a separate pan.

Place the noddles on a flat surface and spread some cottage cheese. Then add a layer of Ragú Homestyle Thick and Hearty Sauce on top of the cottage cheese. Then a third layer of ground beef, if not making it a vegetarian dish and a fourth layer of shredded mozzarella cheese.

Roll one lasagna noodle up and place on top of another lasagna noodle and roll up to make a bigger roll. place the blossom right-side up in the ramekin. Sprinkle some shredded mozzarella cheese and a dollop of Ragú Homestyle Thick and Hearty Sauce on top.

Make more blossoms for as many individual portions as you’d like until all noodles are used. Place ramekins on a cookie sheet or oven-safe tray and bake for 10-15 minutes (until cheese is melted and ingredients are warm/hot). Let cool for about 5 minutes. Serve ramekin on a plate. Enjoy!
