One of our favorite Winter books |
We went to buy our Christmas tree and the children were excited about the sleigh that was there.
In the second picture, you can see A’s reaction to meeting her cousin for the first time. It had to be via Facetime because we don’t live where they do. Precious reaction, nonetheless.
Star of Christmas (instead of The Elf on the Shelf): Christmas is about Decorations
We got the tree! The children are so excited!

The Star of Christmas (Day 14): Christmas is about SALVATION
I put the note in a zip baggie so it wouldn’t get wet. Plus, if you wet the back of the baggie, it will stick to the tile. Awesome idea, right?
Adventures with Dad…
These two gift boxes were at the bottom of our Christmas tree because we couldn’t have the wrapped (or unwrapped) gifts there (the children were too keen on opening them). To find out what they are and how to make this awesome craft, click here. It is called “God’s Gift of Salvation through Ribbon.” |
The Star of Christmas: Christmas is about GOODNESS
Day 15: We took out our little broom, mop, dust pan and vacuum cleaner.
The card said, “Today ask mom and dad how you can help them keep the house clean today.”
Read: Proverbs 3:27 “Does God want us to help now or later?”
Funny…
French: Pour Noël, je voudrais… (For Christmas, I would like…)
We saw pages in books about toy vocabulary in French. Each child decided which two things they would ask for Christmas and then on the paper we wrote, “Pour Noël, je voudrais…” and then they drew the two toys that chose. It was so fun pronouncing all kinds of toy names in French.
The Star of Christmas: Christmas is about LIFE
Day 16: We took out pictures of my children when they were babies and put them by the star. We also looked at baby pictures of mom and dad. Then we looked through pictures of them with mom and dad and talked about memories of past and recent ones, too.
Read: John 14:6 “Who is the way, the truth and the life?”
