For our homeschool co-op, he picked this outfit: sweat pants and cowboy boots. Can’t get more comfortable than that! Haha!

In art, we once again worked with watercolors. We played with salt and bubble wrap to see what happened when we put them down on the wet paint. It’s pretty cool!

A.C.E. (Accelerated Christian Education)
We always begin our ACE portion by reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag, the Christian Flag and the Bible. To get FREE printable copies, CLICK HERE.
On Day Four, God Made The Sun, Moon and Stars Craft
Materials Needed:
– 1 sheet blue construction paper (for daytime sky)
– 1 sheet black construction paper (for nighttime sky)
– 1 sheet white construction paper (for moon)
– 1 sheet yellow construction paper (for sun)
– star stickers or star stamps
– scissors
– tacky glue

Steps:
1. Fold black sheet in half to create a crease. Cut along the crease. Only one half sheet will be needed.
2. Glue the black half sheet on the blue sheet, aligning it to the left (see picture above).
3. Draw a moon crescent and cut it out. It was really good practice for K.
4. Glue the moon crescent on the black half.
5. Pick some star stickers or stamps and place around the moon crescent.
6. Draw a sun on yellow sheet and cut it out. Glue on the blue side.
7. Optional: Write “Day 4” because God made the sun, moon and stars on day four.

Montessori History: The Calendar
I had this printable with all the months of the year and it was fun for him to place the numbers in the right squares. 
We discussed how months may begin on different days. 
We also talked about how January ended on a Friday this year, so February began on a Saturday (the day after the last day in January). 
I mentioned the first day of the week and how it can be different in different countries. In the United States, for example, the first day of the week is Sunday, but in Mexico, it is Monday.
He put the days of the week in the correct order.
During the entire process, we consulted our calendar on the wall.
                              
Montessori Sensorial: Knobless Cylinders
To learn more about these, CLICK HERE. I am adding some extensions below.
Extension 1
1. He placed the knobless cylinders out of order on the mat.
2. He then arranged them in order (thickest to thinnest).
3. He put on a blindfold and was given two knobless cylinders (to hold one in each hand).
4. We talked about the words “thickest,” “thicker than,” thinnest,” “thinner than,” etc.
5. He was to use those words to describe the knobless cylinders in his hands.
6. Repeat process with the other colors, but using correct terms, such as “shortest,” “shorter than,” tallest,” taller than,” etc.
Extension 2
Use the red, green and yellow knobless cylinders to build a tower, creating a pattern.
