We have found an awesome logic program for our homeschool and I am happy to bring you the review of La La Logic. Please read on to find out how this Preschool Curriculum works and how much fun it is to dedicate time to study Logic in our homeschool.
Logic might not be a very common subject that most parents think of as an essential subject like Mathematics or Language Arts, but it is.
Logic is, basically, the science of right thinking, the use of reason, the arguments between true and fall, between valid and invalid.
Logic, like common sense, is a skill that is very valuable and yet it is scarce nowadays. Let’s bring it back!
La La Logic is a program that is partially online (perfect for tablets) and partially offline, which is wonderful.
At first, I thought La La Logic was online only, but there is actually a weekly schedule that can be downloaded with recommendations on how to practice Logic every day (four to five days a week).
Other options with La La Logic are the Brain Challenge and also the Continuous Brain Challenge, which isn’t limited.
They say that you can use this setting on car rides or long waits at the doctor’s waiting room.
I love that La La Logic offers so many activities. It has activities like puzzles, problem-solving skills, multi-sensory enrichment, literature and poetry. It even offers hands-on materials that support my children’s thinking skills.
When it comes to using La La Logic in our home, it only takes 5-10 minutes a day, but I can definitely see how these skills are helping them and how much they are learning.
There are three easy steps to follow and it makes learning fun.
The activities are varied and they increase in difficulty as the weeks pass. We have stories to read, worksheets to complete and they all support the amazing foundations of Classical Education. Poetry, art, nature studies, science experiments and even reading comprehension are part of this wonderful program.
La La Logic was made based on scientific research and it implements many activities and puzzles that are used in IQ Tests.
Many parents are excited to include programs like these in their children’s education because, even though they are set up as a game and as fun hands-on activities, they actually serve many purposes and all of those purposes are educational and can aid in brain development.
La La Logic is geared toward ages 3-6. It offers 100 weeks’ worth of activities and the schedule is included. They also offer scavenger hunts, literature, dramatic play and so many other things.
It is definitely worth the one-time fee and the entire family can use it.
My honest opinion about La La Logic is that it is a great program to use with my children. I highly recommend it. There is nothing that I didn’t like about La La Logic.
It is a well-rounded, thorough program. Worksheets are amazingly creative and hands-on. We enjoy cutting and pasting, sorting, coloring and other fine motor skills.
Like I said, it is a set of activities that only takes 5-10 minutes of our day, but my children still ask for it daily and they are learning so much.
We plan on continuing using La La Logic as a part of our Classical Education curriculum.
