Did you know that there is a stuffed caterpillar (just like the one in the book) and also The Very Hungry Caterpillar board game?
In this post, you will see how fun the board game is after reading the book.
Let the fun begin!

The Very Hungry Caterpillar is a great game to play with younger children.
We like playing it as a family after we read the book.
Reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar book is not a requirement, but it does help make the connection between the game and the story.
It is cute.
When we first got the board game, Sister wanted to help punch out all the little food chips.
She loved practicing her fine motor skills with this activity.
I put together the markers for the players.
They are these adorable caterpillar boxes that collect the food chips as the caterpillar progresses to becoming a beautiful butterfly.
My children love playing it.
The spinner is easy to read by them because it has pictures.
This board game is great for children ages 3 and up.
You can have 2-4 players.
Here are some more games and activities.
Click on the images to get more information on them.
We hope that this post has inspired you to try this simple activity with your children.
They will love it!
