Holistic Homeschool Curriculum for Teaching Writing

The Writing curriculum that I am talking about is the Teaching Writing/Student Writing Value Package Level A, presented by none other than Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW).

You can use it at home with ease and if you are part of the Classical Conversations homeschool co-op and join their Essentials level (grades 3rd-5th), your kids will need this.

We love Classical Conversations and this is our first year going into Essentials with our oldest. As a parent you know how nerve-wracking it is to think of him getting older.

I cannot express how much peace of mind I have to know that we will be using the best homeschool writing program. He will be successful in his Language Arts studies.

Teaching Writing: Structure and Style DVD seminar

Student Writing Intensive Level A

This year, besides this basic set for a writing curriculum, we are studying the Middle Ages, so we are using the Medieval History-Based Writing Lessons [Teacher/Student Combo].

There are other very important and relevant topics, but this one matches best what we are focusing on in our History studies, so we will streamline the History and the Writing subjects.

This is a serious student writing intensive curriculum. The Teaching Writing/Student Writing Value Package Level A is so complete, I can’t even tell you just how awesome it is.

It has everything from fun pages for practicing to chart and posters to practicing all the skills for writing an excellent paper.

This line of workbook developed in a more thorough way. It definitely takes after the themed writing books, but this is waaay more complete and in-depth.

Based on national teaching standards, these workbooks provide complete practice in writing, reading and other key subject areas, such as spelling.

In short, it is a great medium for teaching writing. We just love this writing program because it teaches wonderful skills kids need for the rest of their lives.

Classical Conversations Homeschool Writing

This writing program by Andrew Pudewa offers a holistic approach for students to learn to write correctly, beautifully and rationally.

The writing assignments include sentence starters for narrative writing, detecting and naming parts of speech, thorough writing instruction charts and lists as well as ideas and forms for the writing process.

Students develop excellent writing skills with the Teaching Writing/Student Writing Value Package Level A and I am a witness to it.
