Ta-da! Here is a fantastic post, full of one of the things we love most in our homeschool: languages!
In my lifetime, I have learned close to about 6 languages fluently and currently learning 4 more.
I just cannot get enough of them and my fascination for languages has been passed onto my children genetically (nature) or via nurture.
Regardless, we just love languages and have found some really great and some not-so-great programs and books to teach those languages.
Let me take some time to tell you about one that has definitely been instrumental in us learning some amazing languages from nearly zero knowledge to knowing a fairly good amount of vocabulary.
I am talking about Dino Lingo.
Believe me, I did a lot of research about programs when we decided to give Hebrew, Greek, and Latin a go.
I even had a friend of mine form Greece to check out some of Dino Lingo’s YouTube videos to see how accurate the accent and language were.
She approved and said that she wishes her children had used this program when they were younger because it looked so fun.
Ah! Dino Lingo. It truly is fantastic! My children love it and I do, too.
In fact, I love it so much that we got four sets (so far)!
We got Latin, Hebrew, Greek and French.
Take a look at how my children love to learn the languages of the world in a fun, engaging and immersing manner. Let me also tell you how to get 20% off for any set you choose.
Latin
Dino Lingo offers a variety of sets.
For Latin, we got the Deluxe Set because it is the one that we are focusing on the most in our homeschool (beside Mandarin Chinese).
It includes so much!
It has laminated placemats that cover all kinds of topics to teach as much vocabulary as possible.
I like it that each placemat has its own category, so children can make neural connections quickly and easily.
For example, one focuses on colors, one on numbers, etc.
I especially love the assessment chart that comes in this Dino Lingo set because, as I show my children the images, it makes it so easy to know whether they have grasped (or remember) that word.
I can then take notes to see what has been mastered and what needs to be reinforced.
The best part is that it doesn’t even feel like an assessment to them! ๐

Hebrew
For Hebrew, we got the Dino Lingo Standard Set.
We are learning so much with it! The flashcards are very helpful.
Greek
My friend from Greece checked out this Dino Lingo set for me and she said that it was great.
My children enjoy the sound of Greek and I find them speaking random words in Greek.
For this language, we got the standard set. It is great!

French
I majored in French in college, so I want to keep up with it and also have someone to talk to in that beautiful language.
We got the standard set to get started.
The image doesn’t show the flashcards or the assessment pages, but they are included as well as the instructions on how best to use it.
Online
When we got our sets, the Dino Lingo online option wasn’t available and I am super excited that they have that now!
Now, when we are on the go, we can take Dino Lingo on our tablets! How exciting!
There is no stopping us from learning languages.
To check out Dino Lingo, click on this link or the shopping cart below and tell us which languages you’d like to try.
