Have you used your Instant Pot for bone broth? Did you even know that you can make beef, chicken, fish and even vegetable beef broth in the Instant Pot?
It will save you SO MUCH TIME and electricity! I use bone broth daily, so I enjoy making it from scratch. But honestly, it was taking 12 hours to make it and it would just make the entire house hot and smelly.
I thought of this alternative when I got an Instant Pot. In this post, I will share with you an awesome Instant Pot bone broth recipe that you will love!

Here is the list of ingredients you need for the recipe for bone broth:

Instant Pot Bone Broth Recipe
I can tell you that you that the best bones for bone broth are definitely organic. You can make bone broth separately by kind (beef, bison, buffalo, chicken, etc) or you can make a mix of several. I do this sometimes (especially when I am having a hard time collecting enough bones to make 3 lbs).
Place all of the above ingredients (bones first) in the Instant Pot and fill the rest with water, up to one or two inches below the MAX or FULL line in the inside container. Close the Instant Pot, set the lid to “SEAL” and set it to MANUAL setting for 120 minutes. Two hours is amazing! I used to wait 12 hours for my broth to be ready on the stovetop!
Once the timer is done, let it release the pressure naturally, so let it do its thing until it beeps. It will take about 20 more minutes, in case you wanted to estimate to total time it will take. Open the Instant Pot and let it cool for about an hour. Strain it and either toss the veggies and the bones or keep the veggies and blend them in the blender to throw back into the broth.
I follow the ketogenic diet, so I do not scrape the fat on the top off and toss it. I keep it in! You can choose to do either one. Keep in mind that you will be tossing the a lot of the good collagen out with it.
Recipe for Beef Bone Broth
There are many recipes for bone broth, but some get so complicated that they discourage me from even trying them! I like to keep it simple and easy. I like to have these recipes on hand so anyone can follow them, remember them and share them!
You can use the Instant Pot for beef bone broth, for organic chicken bone broth, for fish bone broth or vegetable bone broth. It doesn’t matter. I try to always have meat bones in the broth because of the natural collagen in them. Collage in broth is so good for your skin, hair and nails. You can look younger because it helps with saggy skin, especially if you are losing weight and have excess skin.
I drink one cup of broth daily. I warm it up in a coffee mug, add some spices or cheese and drink it. Delicious! Each serving has about 4 grams of carbs. Totally worth it!
