We actually have a big shelf (floor to ceiling) full of all kinds of games and puzzles.
We are actually running out of room! But that is totally ok, especially now, when we are staying home more.
What is important to me is to study what games my children prefer, so I know what kinds to get.
I noticed that the ones they enjoy the most are those that appeal to thinking skills, logic, deduction, and so on.
In this post, I am going to share with you the best board games for children that we have found!

Kids Games Featuring Logic and more…
Playing board games are different with ThinkFun games.
From puzzle games to strategy games, each one has a unique set of skills that teach children so much!
If you have been around long enough, you know that the board game arena is a tough one.
I am always having a hard time finding good ones, but with ThinkFun, I never go wrong!
Let me tell you more about the games that we have been playing.
These are the games we got:
1 Minecraft Magnetic Travel Puzzle – Logical Deduction Game
It’s a Single player game for ages 8+.
Even though each of my kids has their own, my kids like to sit side by side to solve the challenges together.
I love that it is a self-contained game to play on the go.
The learning skills for this game are Logic and problem-solving.
Find it HERE.
2 Gravity maze – Marble Run Brain Game
It’s a maze game. It’s a marble game. My daughter is completely taken by this one!
Actually, it’s a gravity-powered logic maze game that builds reasoning skills and visual perception.
The best part is – it’s fun to play and learn! My daughter is already having a fun time making up her very own mazes.
Use the challenge cards to strategically place towers and create a path for your marble to reach the target.
With 60 challenges to test your skills, this fun maze game is definitely a marble run for brainiacs!
It does say that it is for a single player, but my children enjoy it both playing with it alone or collaborate together.
Find it HERE.
3 Dog Crimes – Who’s to Blame Logic Game
This is a single player game for ages 8+, but my kids actually like to play it together.
Cat Crimes’ success has resulted in a dog-themed reimagining of the game
Learning skills: Logical deduction, reasoning skills, and visualization.

4 Circuit Maze – Electric Current Logic Game
Ignite your logic and sequential reasoning skills with Circuit Maze!
This one is my personal favorite. It’s a classic game for me.
Your goal is to arrange the tokens to create a real circuit that lights up the different colored Beacons.
These clever circuit-building puzzles provide a boost of brainpower and a wonderful introduction to electrical engineering.
With 60 challenges ranging in difficulty from beginner to expert, this logic game will provide engineers of all levels with hours of electrifying fun.
5 Chicken War – Strategic Guessing Game
This game is so clever and so much fun! It is a game for 2-4 players, ages 8+.
It is so crazy!
When I saw this game, I knew we had to get it! Since we have chickens for pets, this gave the game an extra kick of fun.
It is full of exciting warfare gameplay, zany matching, and humorous theme.
We laugh a lot with this one. Learning skills: Logical deduction and reasoning skills.
