In this Outer Space Activities for Kids post, we will show you how much one can learn about space with one of the most fun books out there!
And it is by one of our favorite authors, Dr. Seuss. Take a look as we explore outer space with There’s No Place Like Space!
Outer Space Books for Kids
To give yo some awesome outer space ideas for kids, I’ll always recommend that you begin with a really good and solid list of book on the topic.
Here, I am listing some great ones here.
I am especially using There’s No Place Like Space because at the end of the book, there is a glossary page with new words that have to do with space.
I made some printable 3-part cards that include the words in the glossary and I added a few more that also go well with this outer space topic.
Take a look!
There are 10 new words, but you get 20 cards because 10 cards have the images and 10 have the dictionary definition of those words.

For these space activities for kids, they will learn new words and what they mean. They are: solar system, constellation, universe, astronaut, astronomer, telescope.
Also, we have lunar rover, spaceship, astronomy and satellite.
In the card, we explain the difference between a natural and an artificial satellite.
