This is our second year using Nancy Larson and we are so excited to dive into our new topics.

A Wonderful Science Experience for the whole Family

We got our box of goodies and in this videos, my kids and I are curious and excited to find out what we got! Take a look at all the books and materials we got that we will be using this year. Last year, we involved the entire family in our learning and it is true for this year, I am sure. I mean, imagine learning about magnets and simple machines with dad leading the lessons and learning about rocks and minerals with me leading the lesson. How fun!

This awesome kit for Science 2 is complete and thorough. Let me tell you everything that it includes! It truly is a wonderful science experience for the whole family that can be done anytime, not only during your scheduled science period. I love how we carry our activities into the weekend and show Dad what we have learned.

What is in Nancy Larson Science 2?

This year (Science 2), we will be studying:

Investigating the physical properties of matter
Observing rocks and minerals
Investigating forces and work
Examining simple machines
Exploring sound and light
Investigating birds

It is a total of 80 lessons that are very complete, fun and easy to plan. For each main topic above, you get about 10-12 lessons to go more in-depth and discuss a lot more. I love the reading suggestions (we check them all out of our local library) and the hands-on experiments. I also like that we get a CD full of printable materials to enhance the lessons, we get an awesome set of study cards to introduce concepts, the student readers and worksheet booklets and also the reviews and assessment pages.
