We go camping to cooler climates every Summer (for about 2 weeks) and to the sand dunes within driving distance in the Winter (for a long weekend here and there).
Isn’t flexibility and freedom in homeschooling a wonderful thing?!
This is our first year with an actual camper (bye, bye, tent!) and I decided to put together a list of amazing camping activities for kids!

If there were two things that you want to buy and know will be loved and used and enjoyed, get these!
There were true life-savers! We had the lap desk in the car.
The kids had paper, coloring utensils and a couple of books.
They would draw their own comics and read on our long drives.
When we got to the campsite and set up their beds in the camper, they would play with the Legos while it was sprinkling (or hailing outside).
These were also great activities for the evenings, after long days of fun hikes and outdoor adventures.
