Farm Animals Pictures on Cutting Worksheets
Don’t forget to put together your farm animals unit using this and my other printable sets! You can find them at the end of this post. But let’s talk about this activity.
Cutting practice is such a great fine motor skill! Kids are mostly fascinated with scissors and this activity gives them a great opportunity to “play” with them.
To set up this Kinder / Preschool cutting practice worksheets, you can print them one-sided (in color) in the regular size (like the pictured below).
This size is perfect for toddlers and preschoolers (maybe even for some kindergarteners).
To make them smaller, like for elementary students and some more advanced kindergarteners, you set up in the printer settings to print 2 pages on one sheet.
Cutting will be more difficult and it will help older kids refine their cutting skills.
Preschool Cutting Practice Worksheets
My daughter cut the large cards and I printed them smaller for my son because he is older and needs the practice for smaller coordinated movements.
But they didn’t let the fun end once they cut all the seven cards with straight, wavy, zigzag lines as well as the spiral! They started to find their favorite animals in the rows and cutting them out and pasting them on the paper.
Then they decided to find families (rooster, hen and chick as well as the bull, the cow and the calf).
Let them enjoy these cards and “play” with them as much as they want to. Mine were engaged and interested for over an hour with just this activity!
And they learned and practiced so much, too! It was such a great time! And now it’s your turn! Below, enter your email and you will receive the file in your email inbox.
