Make this wonderful season extra special for your kids with these 10 Fall Montessori printable activities!
These Fall nature activities are for children on different ages, but mostly fit children ages 3-6, so take a look!
Montessori Fall Bundle
1 Fall child hair decoration with Fall foliage, berries and more:
Children develop socially and emotionally, as well develop their personalities and unique sense of self.
In this activity, use the leaves and other Fall items to decorate children’s hair and hats.
2 Fall cutting practice (3 levels of difficulty):
As children learn to cut, they will begin with pages that have straight lines, then wavy and lastly, the shapes.
There are many types of homeschool learning and this activity fits all of them!
3 Drawing grids for symmetry and Art:
In Montessori education, children learn symmetry, Art skills and drawing by copying the leaf halves on the cards.
Mirroring images and copying them is a great skill to practice.
This is my children’s favorite out of the 10 printable activities for kids.
4 Fall lace looming shapes for pre-writing and fine motor skills:
The Montessori teacher (or guide) will cut out the shapes.
Use a whole punch to make holes on the white circles.
Set it up on a wooden tray.
I like to print these on cardstock or laminate them for durability and to make them sturdier.
Then, the child will use a thin ribbon or a shoelace to lace all the way around.
There are two basic ways of looming them.
Bottom and bottom or bottom and top.
5 Leaf feeding activity for eye-hand coordination and dexterity:
Print the brown burlap sheet on regular paper. The leaves on cardstock.
Cut out the brown burlap strips and tape or glue together to make a long band.
Tape or use a glue stick on the “button” and color band to each end of the strip.
Cut out the leaves and use an exact-o knife to cut the slits in the middle.
For durability, put a slit of scotch tape on the slit or laminate before cutting the slit.
Gently feed the leaves through the button (the strip on the other end will stop them from falling off).
6 Paper strip weaving with Fall patterns:
This activity is perfect for your homeschool curriculum, whether it is The Montessori Method or not!
Print out the sheets you want to use for your project.
You need 1 base sheet (with solid strips on each end) and 1 strip sheet (with leaf patterns).
Cut the base strips, stopping at the solid strips (don’t cut through those!).
The leaf pattern strips are cut all the way through.
Feed perpendicularly through the base sheet, over and under, alternating until all the strips are loomed.
Glue them down as an option.
If you really like them, you can use them as placemats or staple them to make baskets out of them.
Click here to see how with our tutorial.
7 Parts of a fruit printable images and labels:
Children will be working hard on this one as the terms can be a little complicated, but it is so worth it!
Cut out the labels and follow the control of error.
8 Parts of a leaf printable images and labels:
Cut out the labels and follow the control of error.
9 Fall leaf patterns:
Children will learn 4 different patterns – ABAB, AABAAB, ABBABB and ABCABC.
Cut out the leaf squares and place them or glue them in the correct spot.
Use the answer sheets as a control of error.
10 Fall Alphabet 3-part cards:
Print this set twice if you want to use them as 3-part cards.
Or print them once, if you want to use them as alphabet flashcards.
So what do you think?
Isn’t this an awesome set?!
