Homeschool Printable Hungry Caterpillar Fruit

We have been doing lots of Very Hungry Caterpillar printable activities and they have all been so much fun!

The caterpillar printables for this post are the five fruit that he ate Monday though Friday in the famous children’s book.

Using the very hungry caterpillar printables, we traced them onto cardstock folded in half like a card and traced them out!

You can use tacky glue to paste pony beads, regular beads, stickers or foam stickers to fill up the inside of the fruit.

Use one shade of color, several shades of the same color or use different colors to make a creative card that whoever receives it will love!

You can print out these hungry caterpillar printables for each child or just a couple of copies to use as a group.

It doesn’t take long to trace, so kids can take turns using them.

Remember that the very hungry caterpillar pictures to print are only the first five pieces of fruit that the caterpillar ate from Monday to Friday.

So, you can take these the hungry caterpillar printables and cut them out yourself or have the kids cut them out on their own.

It all depends on their ages and their abilities with scissors.

It goes without saying that this is an excellent fine motor skills activity as well as a fun craft for kids.

The best glue to use for these is tacky glue because it dries quickly and it glues really well.

When we used glue sticks, some of the beads would fall off.

This is one of the best of the hungry caterpillar activities that we’ve done because not only do we get to read the book, we get to practice cutting, tracing and even the pincer grip.

It is the perfect fine motor skills craft for kiddos!

And not just that, this very hungry caterpillar printable for the craft actually makes a beautiful and thoughtful card.

When my kids finished with this the very hungry caterpillar printable and made their amazing cards, they then got to practice their penmanship (handwriting) and their letter-writing skills to write a sweet message to their friends and loved ones.
