How to Fold a 1-Page Booklet Tutorial Video
There are millions of online printables that can be fun to print out and fill out, but several require instructions for assembly. This one isn’t terribly difficult, but it is fun to learn how to make an 8-page booklet out of only 1 piece of paper.
All you need is your printable (only 1 sheet of paper) and scissors! This literally takes less than 2 minutes to put together. Your kids will love putting their booklets together and learn to follow instructions at the same time.
They will love ending up with a sweet booklet that they can read alone or to each other. The free printable is below. In the meantime, enjoy the video tutorial!
How to Fold a 1-Page Booklet Tutorial List
I know that these booklets might now come across as crafts for kids, but if you think about it, they could be! Imagine making these out of blank pages to turn into coloring pages.
Creating a booklet has never been easier! You and your kids will love this new creative idea and appreciate the tutorial on how to make it. I tried to make it as easy as possible.
The page size doesn’t matter to make a 1-page booklet, but we use letter size because it is the most common. The number of pages you will end up with is eight (6 pages with a front cover and a back cover).
Here are the written instructions, in case you don’t feel like watching the tutorial or instructional video every time. It’s only 9 easy steps. I am a visual learner, so I prefer video, but if you prefer, the written instructions are included.
- Print out the booklet in color on a regular weight sheet of paper.
- Cut off the white border along the page.
- To put together the booklet, fold along all lines to crease well.
- Then, fold the paper in half (hamburger way and cut along the thicker (darker) gray line and stop at the dots.
- Open the paper all the way.
- Fold the paper the thin (hotdog) way.
- Grab each edge and push them together until you make an X out of the paper.
- Fold along and make it a booklet.
- You can open it in half and staple or just leave it folded.
