Welcome to our yearly Homeschool room tour!
We are excited to see how much our homeschool room changes from year to year and we have kept track of it all in our posts!
You can see them here for 2014, here for 2015 and here for 2016!
So take a look at these awesome homeschool room pictures!
Montessori at Home Awesome Homeschool Rooms – Pictures
Let me tell you something first. We moved earlier this year, so our setup is different from the other posts you have seen.
We have a unique and divided setup now, so let me walk you through it and explain how we set it up.
Instead of having a self-contained homeschool room, like we’ve always had, we now do the bigger bulk of our homeschooling in two separate rooms.
The good part is that they are right across from each other, so it makes it easy to go back and forth.
In the office, we do some one-on- one lessons with one kid while the other is in taking piano in the other room.
Then they switch.
We also keep about 90% of our homeschool materials there.
I love having everything well-organized and orderly.

Homeschool Room Tour
We have been outgrowing a number of Montessori materials, so we now have more room for our precious books and other hands-on work.
We do love Montessori and still have a lot, but we take them out when we need them.
We no longer have the setup to have them out in the open at all times.
A rotation of the materials is working well for us right now.
In there, we have two built-in desks (for mom and dad) as well as a stand-up desk.
I love my stand-up desk! There, I always keep a book to read while standing up.
The cool thing it that I stand on a vibrating platform, so I can get healthier while reading!

Organizing Your Homeschool Room
In the other room, we do our sit-down work. It is in the dining room!
We got a beautiful dining room set, but in reality, we will do most of our entertaining outside in the backyard, so it would go unused most of the time.
It is a perfectly good table, so why not homeschool on it?
It has made a big difference because now, we have a lot of room to work.
Whenever we have a messy project like Art or a Science experiment, then we go do it on the kitchen counter.
It is an easier surface to clean up. All in all, we do use other rooms in the house.
We use the living room for our language lessons as well as piano. (include 3-part cards post)

I love that you are using a bigger table. I remember back in high school I love to use our dining table instead of my own study table in the room 😀 A bigger table gives me stimulation to learn! And that huge window, wow!
