My children love to work with cursive worksheets that are fun and easy to learn from. And I love for them to do their cursive handwriting practice daily, so having something that appeals to them is important to me. In this post, you will have a chance to see the program that we use and love.
Cursive Handwriting Worksheets
When I look into a cursive program, I make sure that not only does it teach the kids to write cursive letters, but also how to sit, how to hold the pencil, how to place the paper in front of them, etc. I found just that in Cursive Logic! Not only are my children writing cursive, but they are excelling at it! This is a great system of cursive letter practice that will stick with them forever. It is a great way to introduce cursive writing to kids! Here is my daughter’s page, after just a few days with Cursive Logic. She had never be formally taught cursive before nor had she ever tried to write in cursive before. She is 6.5 years old and is really enjoying it. This is the first book to start on because it introduces all of the program, step by step.
I like how the system is broken down into segments, so children don’t feel overwhelmed to learn all of the letters in cursive at once. And not only is the book broken up into sections, but the sections themselves are broken up into doable day-to-day exercises. It makes it so much easier to get done and they seem to know exactly where to break them up because children are not burned out nor is their handwriting looking tired.

Beginning Cursive Writing Worksheets
Once your children learn to write cursive with the first Cursive Logic book, they can move on to this second book. It is a way to review how to write cursive for kids and it doubles as a beautiful coloring book. This book is my daughter’s motivation to finish the first book!
Learn Cursive Handwriting
If you are interested in cursive handwriting printables, you know that it is fun and ok to print out cursive practice here and there once they have a firm foundation on cursive letter form. But the bottom line is that you actually need a book like these to get the formal aspect of learning alphabet cursive writing as well as words, sentences and even paragraphs! Let’s face it: learning to write cursive can be daunting. It was to me as a leftie! But it was even more daunting trying to TEACH cursive correctly as a homeschool mom. Nonetheless, I think that cursive handwriting for kids is an asset, so it is right to give it a try. Cursive Logic has taken this hurdle right off of my hands because it is actually an easy, self-guided approach. I highly recommend it!
