Parts of a Flower: Puzzle
This Montessori puzzle is a beautiful way of learning the parts of a flower. This flower puzzle, in particular, was a little bit challenging at first.
But once Sister focused on the shape of each of the pieces, she was able to study the puzzle and determine where each piece belonged.
You can also find information on parts of a flower HERE and our post on flower arrangement HERE.

Botany Parts of a Plant
And now, for the free printable activities!
I printed these on white cardstock and used a thermal laminator to make them sturdier and more durable.
I left the main labeling sheet as is and then I cut the labels and the puzzle pieces.
As I read the labels, Sister placed them in the correct place on the main labeling sheet. I made a parts of a plant Montessrori puzzle.
The main labeling sheet isn’t a part of a plant puzzle worksheet.
It will actually be the control of error or an answer sheet of sorts.
This is how the child will be able to double check that they did the activity correctly.
To start out this parts of a plant Montessori lesson, present the puzzle and the labeling sheet to the child.
Show him/her how to put the puzzle together on top of the control of error (labeling sheet).
Once the child has mastered this parts of a plant puzzle level ( I call it level 1), you are ready for the next step.
You can then invite the child to put the puzzle together next to the labeling sheet, not on top (I call it level 2).
Level three would be putting together the puzzle on their own and looking that the control of error after the puzzle has been completed by memory.
This is a great plant puzzles printable!
Parts of a Tree Montessori Activity
The Montessori parts of a tree puzzle is so beautiful. Personally, it brings me such a sense of peace when I see it.
If you wanted to extend this work, you can look into getting this tree activity for your child. It is very highly recommended.
I also made this set of free parts of a tree printables.
This set contains: a labeling image (and it doubles as the puzzle’s control of error), labels for tree, puzzle (beginner level) and puzzle (advanced level).
I printed these on white cardstock and used a thermal laminator to make them sturdier and more durable.
I left the main labeling sheet as is and then I cut the labels and the puzzle pieces.
Sister is just learning to read, so I read the labels to her and she places them in the correct spot on the labeling image (see first picture below).
Next, I introduce the puzzles.
The beginner level is the tree puzzle with four long pieces (see second image below). Use the labeling image as the control of error.
The advanced level is the same puzzle image, but it has 10 pieces.
For this one, also, use the labeling image as the control of error.
To start out, present the puzzle and the labeling sheet to the child.
Show him/her how to put the puzzle together on top of the control of error (labeling sheet).
Once the child has mastered this level, you can then invite the child to put the puzzle together next to the labeling sheet, not on top.
Level 3 would be putting together the puzzle on their own and looking that the control of error after the puzzle has been completed by memory.
