We LOVE snow and we LOVE to build snowmen when we are around snow. Where we live, we don’t really have snow (unless we travel a bit), so we make the best of it with making our own snow with just 2 ingredients and with reading lots about snow and snowmen.
And don’t forget to see our book list hub! It is full of lists of books on all kinds of topics on all subjects! You will love it and find it very helpful!
In this post, you will see how much fun we had with children’s books and activity using printable snowman patterns, which is a free printable we have for you.
This is the last Bookspiration Club post for the 2015, so be sure and visit the other wonderful posts about snowmen at the end of this post. I am excited to show you the new list for 2016!
Children’s Books & Activity
This is the book we based our activity on, but there are other snowman books that will fit in just as well. 😉 This book, All You Need for a Snowman is fun, with beautiful illustrations.
When we read it, I remembered how we had built snowmen in winters past and it gave me an idea for the perfect activity to do that went perfectly with it. Here are some more snowman book recommendations:

I created a snowman and a bunch of super fun accessories and props to come up with all kinds of fun snowman designs. In this free printable, you will get bigger props like a Christmas tree and a few balloons to smaller ones like party hats, sombreros, funny mustaches, bows and wigs.
My children had such a great time coming up with some awesome (and super fun) snowmen.
You need:
AmazonBasics Thermal LaminatorScotch Thermal Laminating Pouches, 8.9 x 11.4-Inches, 3 mil thick,Canon MX492 Wireless All-IN-One Small Printer with Mobile or TabletSwingline Paper Trimmer / Cutter, Guillotine, 12
- a color printer (we love this one)
- regular white letter-sized paper or white cardstock
- a thermal laminator
- a few laminating pouches
- scissors
- a tray or zippered baggie to hold the items
Then it was time to add props to the design. We made Christmas backgrounds with Christmas trees and presents, a birthday party with gifts, cake, party hats and balloons and we also created a superhero snowman party where Spiderman, Captain America and Wonder Woman were invited.
When you are ready to print these out, decide how many snowmen you need and print that page as many times as you want. I hope you enjoy these printables as much as we did!
I know it would be hard to design these on a really snowman, so we are bringing the fancy snowmen inside. An added plus: they aren’t cold and wet. 😉 Happy designing!

This is ADORABLE! We*re in the same boat with a deep love of snowmen but lack of snow, so we’ll be sure to put your printable to good use 🙂

So fun! What wonderful ideas. Normally we have no problem making snowmen… this year the snow has been non- existent and while I am loving it my boys are missing it. Maybe this will make them feel a bit better.
