Is Math dreaded in your home?
Are you tired of finding creative ways to teach Math to your kids ages Kinder through 5th grade?
Let me show you our review of a way to easy Math for kids (and honestly, for us, parents, too!).
Come take a look at how this works and why we love it in our home.
Easy Math for Kids
The program I am excited to tell you about is GPALearn from GPALoveMath!
“GPA” stands for “Great Parents Academy,” isn’t that great?
It is an amazing and user-friendly online Math program that kids will love from Kindergarten all the way to 5th grade.
Below, you will see what my daughter’s 1st grade dashboard looks like.
Every grade is divided into 3 sections (Operations and Algebraic Thinking, Numbers and Operations in Base Ten and Measurement and Data & Geometry).
They lock and unlock automatically, as children reach mastery and stay closely to each other.
In other words, you can’t advance a ton if you like the purple section the most, as to not run behind.
My daughter and I use manipulatives to go through the lessons. Many of the lessons can be done independently, but in our case, I did sit through all of the Kindergarten grade with my daughter. She is in 1st grade now and is more independent. My son is more independent in general, so he’s been doing 99% of it on his own for over 2 years now. He is in the middle of 3rd grade now and he loves it!
So, let me tell you how the lessons work. Below, I will show you screenshots of one of my daughter’s beginning 1st grade lessons. The pictures immediately below show some information in the Lesson section.
Each lesson is divided into 3 sections: the Lesson itself (where a coach walks the child through the vocabulary and the new concept), the Practice (where the child gets a series of problems to solve – this section comes with 3 lifelines, in case the child gets stuck on a problem) and the Quiz (where the child gets quizzed on the new material learned).

The image below show screenshots of the GPALearn Practice section. My children love how the material is presented in a variety of creative ways. They have 3 lifelines, in case they need extra help on something, which makes this easier to be independent work.
As a parent, I love how the program runs itself beautifully and I even get an email after each child has completed a lesson. I get details like how long it took the child to complete the lesson and what grade he got on the quiz. It keeps me in the loop! Love it!
The lessons are, like I said, locked and unlocked by the program so the child can follow the order of the lessons in the way they are to be presented. It definitely takes out the guessing part out of parents. They learn what they are supposed to learn in a progressive, organized and cohesive manner.
The screenshots below show you an idea on what the Quiz questions might look like. They are varied and creative. Kinder, 1st and 2nd grade Quizzes have 10 questions and 3rd-5th grade go up to 15 questions per Quiz.
At the end of each Quiz, the child will see his grade and if there were mistakes, the answers are shown and what the correct answers were. It is easy to see children’s progress and grades at a glance. There are other incentives that can be set up for further motivation.
In essence, I highly appreciate this program and I really recommend it. We have been using it for over 2 years not and I will tell you that GPALearn is wonderful. Would you like for your kids to give it a try?
