We have grown gardens in the past, but now that we have moved to a new home, we are excited to start on in our new spot this Fall.
Fall will be here before we know it, so in the meantime, we will be using some awesome gardening ideas for kids!
It includes a wonderful set of 3-part cards.
Gardening Ideas for Kids ~ Setup
Alright, so these gardening 3-part cards are great and easy to use. Not only that, but kids will be able to learn 14 gardening tool names while having fun!
I have included 2 blank cards so you can add your own particular tools, if they haven’t been included in the list already.
This 3-part card set includes: gardening boots, hand cultivator, pail, hand fork, pitchfork, plant, rake, shovel, spritzer, watering can, terra-cotta pot, wheelbarrow, ruining shears and trowel.
The way 3-part cards work is that you print the 3-part cards set in color TWICE and on cardstock. You can also laminate them for durability.
Cut the first set with the gardening tool names attached. Cut the second set with the picture and the gardening tool names apart.
Gardening Ideas for Kids ~ Activity
Place the 3-part cards with the names attached in 3 rows and spaced out a bit. The order for the cards doesn’t really matter. The cards with the names attached is the control of error.
That is how the child will know whether their card matching is correct or not. The cards (control of error) are set up, right? Well, then the child starts matching the image cards, watching for the control of error.
Lastly, the child will match the names cards and place them below the image cards. The ill make a beautiful display. HERE is a perfect example on how 3-part cards work.
