When it comes to fine motor skills, it can be a fun or tedious task for both you and your preschooler or kindergartener. Most importantly, practicing fine motor skills is paramount, not only for writing, but for countless skills that are needed in life.
Why not make this practicing entertaining and more like a game instead of a dread? In this post, I will show you how to get the best fine motor skills workbooks for Preschool & Kindergarten that do just that!
You will spend hours with learning fun! And don’t forget to see our book list hub! It is full of lists of books on all kinds of topics on all subjects! You will love it and find it very helpful!
I am talking about the Gakken workbooks, which are fantastic. These workbooks are so cute, so fun and most of all, very educational for the little ones.
They target specific ages, which makes the work perfect for little hands, not too easy, not too hard. The best part is that their preschool and kindergarten workbooks focus on different topics and skills.
Take a look at the picture below. You can easily see which ones are geared for 2 to 4-year olds. Some topics are: Intellectual Skills, Life Skills, Tracing, and so on.
There are also workbooks for ages 3-5 that also include Life Skills, Mazes and more. These workbooks go up to also cover ages 4-6! Isn’t that great?!
Here are some wonderful copies of the workbooks for ages 2-4, 3-5 and 4-6:

Fine Motor Skills Workbooks
My son is six years old, so I gave him the Mazes workbook for ages 4-6. He enjoyed reading the different jobs, the different activities and filling out the reward stickers.
My boy was focused for a very long time and he asked me if he could finish the entire book in one sitting!
I found that it was a sign of him being really engaged, truly intrigued, feeling successful and enjoying what he was doing.
The levels of difficulty advance as the book processes, so he never felt too comfortable or bored at all.
Here are some of the workbooks for ages 2-4 (Preschool):

Workbooks for Preschool & Kindergarten
Let me show you the workbooks that my daughter used. Since she is four, I gave her a choice of picking one for ages 2-4 or one for ages 3-5.
She picked the First book that you see above: The Go Go Cutting and Pasting Workbook for ages 2-4. She did fantastic and she loves working on it daily.
It comes with a mix of stickers to places freely or strategically, cutting and pasting practices and even a dry erase sheet for imagination to soar.
We have most of the first book completed and she’s already eyeing the other to pick the next one. She is enjoying every single activity.
She is fascinated with the different creative ideas.
I love the fact that she is practicing fine motor skills, but she is also learning about many topics, like color mixing, objects that go together, street safety and even about shapes, insects and activities that families do together.
Finally, I highly recommend these workbooks. They are perfect for the different ages and they are colorful and fun.
The stickers are of the highest quality that I have seen and I can see, as a former school teacher and a homeschooling mom and reviewer, that a lot of thought went into creating insightful, practical and relevant topics for little ones.
Why don’t you get a few for your loved ones? Keep in mind that these fine motor skills workbooks are perfect to give as gifts, for holidays and for simply any day.

Different topics are covered which is really neat. I think sometimes it’s hard to find a well rounded activity book. This one seems to offer such fun art crafting and various activities for the child to engage.

This is a really awesome giveaway for so many things that can be used for years to come. We’re on the lower end of this learning pack with Monkey Boy and Turtle Boy is just a bit behind, so I know we have a great use for these products. These books would certainly enhance some of the learning that I work on with Monkey Boy already (cutting, shapes, colors, etc.) ๐
