Fine Motor Skills Workbooks for Preschool & Kindergarten

I am talking about the Gakken workbooks, which are fantastic. These workbooks are so cute, so fun and most of all, very educational for the little ones. They target specific ages, which makes the work perfect for little hands, not too easy, not too hard. The best part is that their preschool and kindergarten workbooks focus on different topics and skills.

Take a look at the picture below. You can easily see which ones are geared for 2 to 4-year olds. Some topics are: Intellectual Skills, Life Skills, Tracing, and so on. There are also workbooks for ages 3-5 that also include Life Skills, Mazes and more. These workbooks go up to also cover ages 4-6! Isn’t that great?!

Fine Motor Skills Workbooks

My son is six years old, so I gave him the Mazes workbook for ages 4-6. He enjoyed reading the different jobs, the different activities and filling out the reward stickers. My boy was focused for a very long time and he asked me if he could finish the entire book in one sitting! I found that it was a sign of him being really engaged, truly intrigued, feeling successful and enjoying what he was doing. The levels of difficulty advance as the book processes, so he never felt too comfortable or bored at all.

Workbooks for Preschool & Kindergarten

Let me show you the workbooks that my daughter used. Since she is four, I gave her a choice of picking one for ages 2-4 or one for ages 3-5. She picked the First book that you see above: The Go Go Cutting and Pasting Workbook for ages 2-4. She did fantastic and she loves working on it daily. It comes with a mix of stickers to places freely or strategically, cutting and pasting practices and even a dry erase sheet for imagination to soar.

We have most of the first book completed and she’s already eyeing the other to pick the next one. She is enjoying every single activity. She is fascinated with the different creative ideas. I love the fact that she is practicing fine motor skills, but she is also learning about many topics, like color mixing, objects that go together, street safety and even about shapes, insects and activities that families do together.

Finally, I highly recommend these workbooks. They are perfect for the different ages and they are colorful and fun. The stickers are of the highest quality that I have seen and I can see, as a former school teacher and a homeschooling mom and reviewer, that a lot of thought went into creating insightful, practical and relevant topics for little ones. Why don’t you get a few for your loved ones? Keep in mind that these fine motor skills workbooks are perfect to give as gifts, for holidays and for simply any day.

Comments

  1. Different topics are covered which is really neat. I think sometimes it’s hard to find a well rounded activity book. This one seems to offer such fun art crafting and various activities for the child to engage.

  2. This is a really awesome giveaway for so many things that can be used for years to come. We’re on the lower end of this learning pack with Monkey Boy and Turtle Boy is just a bit behind, so I know we have a great use for these products. These books would certainly enhance some of the learning that I work on with Monkey Boy already (cutting, shapes, colors, etc.) 🙂

  3. These workbooks look awesome and cover a wide range of ages for children to stay engaged. I have ages 2 through 15. Ten children total so these hands on activities would keep them learning. Thank you so much for the giveaway

  4. My preschooler can never be given enough things, but he is number 5 and I am already busy enough with the other 4 kiddos that I just put him off instead of spend hours finding “good busy work.”

  5. I was thrilled to find that these books include life skills and intellectual skills. So much emphasis is put on letters and numbers and there’s so much more to life than that! I didn’t know books like these existed, so excited to try them with my 2 year old!! 🙂

  6. My grandsons are also homeschooled, so I would love to win this for the youngest one. Thank you for the review and giveaway!!

  7. Thank you for being such a great resource. I’m just starting to look into Homeschooling ideas for my 2 year old GBabyGirl and appreciate the help.

  8. This would be awesome to win, my son is always wanting to “do homework” like his big sister and these seem perfect for him,

  9. Would thoroughly enjoy winning this set. My 8 yr. old loved several of these books and now my 6 and 3 yr old are ready for these skills. I have no doubt they would have as much fun as their older sister.

  10. I’d love to win this set because years ago my daughters had a couple of these workbooks and loved them! Couldn’t seem to find them anywhere until this giveaway. They are both cute and engaging for kids!
