What a simple, yet novel idea: to learn the Bible using stick figures!
This was one of the most fun and enlightening of reviews that I have done this year.
Grapevine Studies came up with this brilliant idea!
Teaching children the Bible is now so easy using stick figures.
And they have different levels and different topics…what more can we ask for?!
I was doing the happy dance (kind of like the stick figures are).
The topic and levels that we reviewed were Old Testament 1: Level 1 (ages 6-8) and Traceable (ages 3-5).
Both sets are the same, except for a few differences, which I will describe in this post.
My daughter’s set has the traceable images and my son’s set doesn’t, plus it includes extra memory verses and information.
How did we use Old Testament Overview (Level 1)?
In the picture above, you can see what the traceable pages look like.
Not only was it easier for my daughter to trace the images, but my son was also able to see what the images were supposed to look like to replicate in his own way.
We used this set during our devotions daily.
It was easy to keep my children engaged because of how the lessons are laid out.
It was very easy for me as well.
The Teacher’s Manual is simple, helpful and very informational.
I didn’t print all 3 ebooks at once (traceable lessons, regular lessons and teacher manual), but I would print 5 lessons at a time.
I also printed the double-sided to save paper and space for when we store them to look back on them.
What did we think of using stick figures to learn Bible?
It is fantastic! I cannot tell you how much my children and I are loving this set and how much they are learning.
I can really tell that the way the lessons are presented are brining the material home for them.
I love that there is reading direct from the Bible and we can use any translation we like.
Sometimes, I even read the same passage out of two or three versions of the Bible to make the message clearer.
I highly recommend this set and I am excited to continue with the other sets they offer:
Birth of Jesus: Beginner
Birth of Jesus: Multi-Level
Old Testament 1: Level 1 Creation to Jacob
Old Testament 1: Level 2 Creation to Jacob
Old Testament 1: Level 3 Creation to Jacob
Old Testament 1: Level 4 Creation to Jacob
I know that it can be confusing on where to start or which levels to go with.
Here are links to help you make those decisions.
These links made it super easy for me to figure out which set was perfect for our family.
