Learning the books of the Bible is very important for Bible study. I highly recommend it.
Short story:
I remember when I was about 8 years old like it was just last year. Our children’s church teachers challenged us to memorize all 66 books of the Bible and those that did, they would win a Bible as a prize.
Oh my goodness!
I practiced and practiced, but on the day of the challenge, I was too nervous to stand in front of about a couple of hundred children and recite them, so I didn’t.
Plus, I already had a Bible. I regret that because I could’ve given that extra Bible to someone who needed it.
In this post, I will share with you some great books of the Bible activity sheet, books, printables and more!
Come and take a look at our books of the Bible chart printable that is free for you!

Books of the Bible: Free Printable
Let’s talk about this free printable books of the Bible poster.
It looks just like the main picture in this post.
It is a shelf with books and on every book, there is a name of a book of the Bible.
They are in order as you would find them in any Bible.
I have also placed black and white labels for the categories they fall under (law, history, poetry, prophets, epistles, gospels, etc).
The shelf looks clean and organized. It is easy to read and follow.
You can frame it like I did or laminate it.
Another option is to print it in color and put it in a sheet protector to go into your child’s Bible studies binder.
Either way, you and your children will enjoy having it at home or at Sunday School.
Not only that, but it can also help you with your daily Christian mindfulness exercises.
It is just so beautiful that I love displaying it on our wall.
I have divided it into the Old and New Testament books.
Then I also divided them into the sections within each Testament.
I am excited for you to soon hear your kids go “Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers…” and the rest by heart!
All 66 books!
