14 Printable Montessori at Home Weathering and Erosion Coloring Pages that Will be Useful
In this post, you will see a fun weathering and erosion coloring page set. It includes 14 images (3 erosion, 3 weathering and 8 that include both erosion and weathering).
It is a great addition to our weather and erosion activities!
So, when you download these 14 weathering and erosion coloring pages, be sure to print them out in black and white (to save on color ink.
I used regular printer paper, but you can print them on cardstock for durability.
Weathering and Erosion Project Ideas
1 Make a weathering and erosion book by cutting the pages in half and stacking them. Then you staple them to make it a book.
What would be equally fun is to let your kids create their own cover page for the book!
2 Lay out all 14 coloring pages and determine weathering and erosion similarities and differences that they can see on these images.
3 Create a 3D image on erosion or weathering! You let your kids pick their favorite image and print it twice.
Then, color them both the same. Next, they will cut certain parts from one and put them on the second image using double-sided foam tape.
4 Use glitter glue of different colors to outline and/or fill in the erosion parts and the weathering parts.
One idea that I want to definitely do is buy the glow-in-the-dark glitter glue.
Use it to highlight the word “erosion” and the erosion part on the image. Then do the same on a weathering page.
Not only will it be fun to see them glow in the dark, but it will also be a great visual for kids to remember what erosion and weathering look like.

What is the difference between weathering and erosion?
For older kids, you can still make this coloring book a research journal! Kids will write down their research at the back of the coloring pages and take notes of what they notice.
Here are some great questions that you can research and maybe write them down at the back of the coloring pages.

- How is weathering different from erosion?
- What causes soil erosion?
- How to prevent erosion
- How do glaciers cause erosion?
