We love learning about colors! We find that the more we learn about them, the more we want to study them. In fact, my Preschool daughter loves colors so much, that she insists on matching perfectly every time she gets dressed. It is quite cute. So, with Valentine’s Day coming up, I made this printable for her to practice her colors in a cute way. I mean, who doesn’t love hearts, especially around Valentine’s Day, right?
Valentine’s Day for Kids
We like celebrating Valentine’s Day, but not only as a day for love. We also celebrate it as a friendship day, where we share with others things we like, we bake and we play games. We also read books together and enjoy each other’s company. Here, you can see several activities we like to do on Valentine’s Day.
First, take a look at the Valentines we made for our friends. They were fun to put together. They were made with our famous salt dough recipe. Also, if you are into giving Valentine’s Day gifts to your kids, you will find some fun and cute book and gift suggestions for them.

But the fun doesn’t end there! We also make delicious snacks to have on that special day. Chocolate-covered strawberries are amazingly decadent and super easy to make. In fact, they are so easy that even a toddler can help make them! Take a look at our post to see how.
And don’t forget to show your kids how special they are to you and how much they mean to you by spending quality time with them. They will love playing this bingo game with you! Just get some heart markers, print this freebie and get ready to have a fun time together as a family!

Alright! So now are you ready for this colors free printable? It has two fun matching games. One is a simple matching the same color envelope to the one on the opposite end of the page. But the second game can be used for multiple activities. We love printing two sets of this one so we can play a matching game. Simply shuffle all the cards and place them upside down. Everyone takes turns turning two cards over. If they match, they keep them. If they don’t match, they flip them over and the next person gets a turn.
Another activity to do with this set of cards is to set one copy of the cards and, when the color is named, the child will either find that card and point to it or they will have the second copy and find the matching card to place on top. Set those aside until all the cards are matched with their sets. You can also have your child write or draw something on the back of each to give away as Valentines!
