So let’s get to this wonderful lesson in the Montessori Mathematics subject. In Montessori education, children work independently after they have been presented a lesson. Children especially love to work independently on this bead cabinet because it is big and long. The bead cabinet includes Montessori bead bars, cubes and more. There are 4 levels or phases, actually.
With these Montessori Mathematics materials, children can learn skip counting (5, 10, 15, 20, etc), multiples (of 2, 3, 4, etc), squares (1×1, 2×2, 3×3, 4×4, etc) and cubes (1x1x1, 2x2x2, 3x3x3, 4x4x4, etc). These Montessori Math beads are a beautiful concrete way of learning and it is one of the main foundations to all of the Montessori learning.
So, even though this bead cabinet is a bit of an investment at first, these Montessori materials for Math are invaluable because they have many, many uses and children really love them! What’s more, this Montessori bead material is used in the ages 3-6 classroom and the elementary classroom, so you will get many years of use out of it.
