Take a tea bag, for example.
You steep it in hot water and the first steep is the most powerful, the most flavorful, the most precious.

How will the “tea” be? What will it taste like? It will be weak and barely taste like tea, right?
Well, Young Living uses first distill ONLY.
Other companies use essential oils that the batches have gone through several distills and several even have a “complete distill, which means it has gone through 4 previous distills.
The result will be watered down, weaker version of essential oils.
5 Young Living does not use fillers, synthetics or artificial fragrances in their essential oils.
Smelling and using Young Living and others side by side will definitely prove to you this fact.
It is easy for me to tell now (like when lavender or peppermint smell like candy instead of the actual deep, natural plants they came from).

Ways to Use Essential Oils
Dietary: That means ingesting a drop or two at a time in water, tea or other liquids.
Aromatic: You inhale the essential oils when drops are put in a diffuser with water.
Topical: You apple the essential oils on your skin, diluted in cream or oil or neat (undiluted).
Dilute: This means that some oils are too “hot” or strong to be used on their own, so you have to add a carrier oil or fragrance-free lotion like made out of shea butter.
Photosensitivity: Some oils, like citrus ones, can discolor fabric or skin when exposed to the sun.
Read the labels and do not use when sunbathing or when you will be out in direct sunlight any given amount of time.
Always try them on a small spot and check for allergic reaction.
