Essential Oils for Toddler Immunity
Alright, let’s be completely honest. Are you a germaphobe?
Do you carry your homemade version of hand sanitizer and a package of wipes to keep your toddler germ-free?
My sister was known for eating dirt. Yes! DIRT! Can you believe it?
Only God knows what kind of crazies were in that dirt.
When I had kids, I immediately wanted to use that alcohol-laden hand sanitizer and keep my little ones from getting sick.
But does that really help? Are we really boosting their immune system by doing things like these?
The honest-to-goodness truth is no. We aren’t helping them longterm.
So what can actually help our babies and toddlers strengthen their little immune cells to fight whatever comes their way?
Let’s discuss that right now!
Best Immune Support for Toddlers
If you are reading this post, then you know that the best immune support for toddlers is with natural remedies, such as essential oils.
We love using everything natural. From herbs and oils to salves, powders and even homeopathic remedies are great.
We just need to get smart about how to use them correctly, especially with our little ones.
Our paramount goal is one: to find a natural remedy when little ones aren’t feeling well, keeping in mind the essential oils safety for young children.
So I will give you a recipe that you can make at home. It is an immunity roller for toddlers that is prepared with littles in mind.
Keep it with you. Use it at the first sign of sniffles or anything else. Or use it as a preventative measure!
Roller Bottle Recipe for Topical Application:
24, Clear, 10 ml Glass Roll on Perfume Bottles with 3 mlUSDA Organic Carrier Oil Gift Set 4 oz Each, Cold Pressed, UnrefinedEssential Oil Bottle Labels Waterproof – 108 pcs DIY Colorful Essential Oil
- 10ml roller bottle
- organic carrier oil (to dilute the essential oils’ potency, mainly to avoid skin irritation)
- tea tree essential oil (melaleuca alternifolia)
- eucalyptus essential oil
- lemon essential oil
Keep in mind that the roller bottle of 10ml is 1/3 of an ounce.
Having said this, you will only need 1 drop of each of the above oils in the roller bottle.
Then, fill up the rest of the roller bottle with your carrier oil.
Leave some room on top for the roller top.
If you fill it up too much, the oil will spill when you put the top on.
Label this roller bottle so you know that it is a toddler mix.
Shake well before each use.
Note:
If you want to make one for adults, then use 3-5 drops of each oil and then fill up the rest of the roller bottle with the carrier oil.
Young Living Immunity Blend
This immunity essential oil blend recipe is amazing! You will absolutely love the smell and love using it on your toddler.
Use it without a care in the world, letting them explore the world and get into whatever, knowing that their immune system is backed up.
You need to know something important about Young Living particularly.
This company makes the best, highest quality and most potent essential oils in the industry.
That means that they only use the first distill. Like a bag of tea, the first time you steep it, it make the strongest tea.
This is why I am completely confident that Young Living immune support with their essential oils is real.
It also means that you need to dilute these essential oils for babies, toddlers and young children.
Thieves Oil for Toddlers
As you know, I use Young Living essential oils.
You know how great it is, but you might be wondering: Is thieves safe for toddlers?
Thieves essential oil blend contains 5 essential oils: cinnamon bark, clove, lemon, eucalyptus radiata and rosemary.
It can be a great alternative to the above recipe for toddler immune support.
But please keep in mind that cinnamon bark is pretty strong.
It is considered a “hot” oil because of its spicy feeling on the skin.
It has to be very well diluted, like the other essential oils you use with little ones.
I personally have made the roller bottles following the recipe amounts above, but using Thieves instead.
It has worked out great for us in the past!
